Bose Soundlink Wireless Mobile Speaker

Bose Soundlink Speaker with dark brown leather cover

For a while now I've been looking for a speaker that is both; wireless and portable. There are few in the market with those requirements, but they're either too small, provide less than desired audio quality, or just unattractive. Bose recently - in late 2011-  introduced the Soundlink model. It's their first model that is both wireless and mobile. Its retro design is attractive, and is what caught my attention first. It comes in (swappable) different cover colors, with a choice between leather or nylon.

I like gadgets that are of great quality but most importantly are practical and blends in with your home interior. Once your done with it you can conceal the speaker with the leather flap, which acts as its stand when unfolded. The sound is impressive for its size (5" x 9.5" x 2"), but not for audiophiles. Connecting and streaming via Bluetooth is flawless. It's great for medium-sized rooms, kitchens, and the outdoors.

Bose Soundlink sports Bluetooth technology, a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, built-in covers, 30ft wireless range, a 3.5mm stereo cable, and wall charger. A fully charged battery (3 hrs) provides an impressive 8 hrs of play, but depending on volume it could be less. Its memory can hold up to  6 paired devices, plus an extra aux connection through a 3.5mm stereo cable.

Bose Soundlink Wireless Mobile Speaker is AED 1300 - 1500 depending on cover choice | Website
